Nestled within the picturesque wine region of the Peljesac Peninsula, this project envisions a harmonious retreat that seamlessly integrates with its surrounding vineyards. The client's desire was to create a residence that offers both flexibility and a strong connection to the landscape. The design responds to this by developing a dual-purpose home-capable of functioning as two independent units or as a unified space. To minimize the impact on the landscape, the house is thoughtfully integrated across three levels, following the natural topography. This approach ensures a harmonious connection with the surroundings while maximizing panoramic views. The result is a residence that not only blends seamlessly with the environment but also offers breathtaking vistas of the vineyards and the
open sea. The material palette is inspired by local stone, timber, and glass, ensuring the home blends effortlessly with the traditional Dalmatian character while maintaining a contemporary aesthetic. Large openings frame panoramic sea views, inviting natural light and ventilation, while outdoor terraces and courtyards foster an indoor-outdoor lifestyle. Sustainability is a key consideration, with passive design strategies, natural shading elements, and energy-efficient systems enhancing comfort and reducing environmental impact. This project embodies a sophisticated yet understated approach-where architecture and nature exist in perfect balance, offering the client a timeless sanctuary in one of Croatia's most enchanting wine regions.
